Tool #3

Today I worked on creating my Wordle and my Bookr. The Wordle is easier. The Bookr took me a while to figure out. I thought you had to use your own pictures or download them from Flickr, but you can use the pictures of other people that are already uploaded.

I decided to make one for my dog, Puggy. First, I located pictures of different pugs ( I located these by people's username) and wrote down the ones I liked. Then I simply added them to the book with text. I love this tool. I will be using this tool in my classroom. I can visualize the students really being engaged in creating their own books on various subjects we are studying and then adding their own text. The pictures are great, because they are REAL.

You can see my Bookr at the bottom of my blog. My Wordle is at the top. ENJOY!

  1. Hello Sylvia!
I really liked your Bookr. That is a great idea to have students create their own books about the subject we are learning with real pictures. I can see to the future and I can have my students create an insect book or a life cycle of a butterfly book.

  3. Sylvia I agree that the most beneficial part about PLN's is the simple fact that it is so convenient to share ideas with so many people regardless of who or where they are. Oh and I can't wait to have my students create a bookr, yours was so cute. ' An applause goes to Sylvia' YAYYYYY!!!!!

  4. Now that we are sharing with PLN's, we can stop saying that we steal teacher's ideas! LOVE IT!
I too can't wait to have my students work with bookr!

  6. I really like your Bookr! I can see using this in so many ways on so many levels. I am thinking it would be great for science fair journals. My students always have pictures they have taken digitally and it is such a pain to print them out. This would be a great tool to have them upload and document each step of their investigation!
